So my good friend, Carolyn, has told me about the 101 in 1001 list…it’s the 101 things you want to do in 1001 days. So, I’m going to make a list. Keep in mind, I am not a very good judge of time, and I am extremely optimistic. So my list may be unrealistic, but here goes…at least the beginnings of a list:
- Back up the pictures that are on my hard drive.
- Re-model my bathroom
- Go to New York for Thanksgiving
- Get 4-6 flute students who actually live in Norman.
- Memorize Claire de Lune on the piano
- Save up enough money to by my next car in cash
- Read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy
- Get rid of 45 pounds, 20 by summer, 25 more over the summer!
- Plant bulb flowers for the spring
- Get to know Valorie and Loretta
- Read a book on Team Work
- Re-read The Leadership Challenge
- Get to the point where I can run and swim 30 minutes straight
- Get all of my Scripture Memory review up to date
- Help my mom fix up the room in her house that used to be my room
- Spend significant amounts of time with Rusty and El Bean
- File the stacks in my office
- Read the biography of Oswald Chambers
- Go through the boxes in my garage and throw out/consolidate
- Paint my laundry room
- Read about and complete the Couch-to-5K Running Plan
- Get more shelves for my garage
- Go to Cuba
- Try all 10 formulas in my new bread cookbook (0/10)
- Learn to cook more french cuisine
- Figure out how to use my fireplace
- Complete StrengthsFinder 2.0 Assesment and read the accompanying book
- Get my gutter fixed
- Plant and maintain an herb garden
- Make fresh pesto from my herb garden
- Drink NO soda from mid-January to Spring Break, re-evaluate need to continue this at Spring Break
- Get hair cut and keep hair cut to style (or at least some true style) for the next 1001 days…got it cut!! Now working on keeping it styled!
- Give an appreciation gift once a quarter (5/11)
- Send a thank you gift card to eye doctor
- Find and go to a dentist 2 times a year (o/6)
- Plant vines and hang lights on pergola
- Call and catch up with alums of the ministry once every two months (4/17)
- Do 5 “touristy” things in Oklahoma City (1/5)
- Listen to one sermon on www.discipleshiplibrary.com per week (0/143)
- Save three months of salary in money market (0/3)
- Have a good conversation with Allison, Carolyn, Kristen, Kayla, Emily, Corly, and Jessica at least once a month (9/33)
- See Mandy at least once a month (10/33)
- Learn a new piece of flute music once every three months (0/11)
- Learn a new symphony exerpt once every three months (0/11)
- Stick to my food budget for three months in a row (0/3)
- Plan meals for the week for one whole month (0/4)
- Keep a food diary for two weeks (0/2)
- Go to church 10 MINUTES EARLY for one whole month (0/4)
- Host a Fondue party once a semester (1/6)
- Have Susanna up for a weekend every spring (0/3)

There…I did it! I completed making my 101 in 1001 List. My start date is (was) January 12, 2009 and my finish date is October 20, 2011 ( I think…if I did the math right). I am motivated. I think this will be a TON of fun! So…here I go! Wish me luck! Or pray for me, which would be a far more productive thing to do! Thanks!
