I’ve not kept up with my vocab learning…my goal in my 101 list was to learn one a week and use it…well, I’m behind…but here are my new ones since the last time I posted:

That’s it…so I’m about 38 words behind…guess I’ll double up this year!  I WILL have 142 new”ish” words learned by the end of my 1001 days!

101 in 1001 List

So my good friend, Carolyn, has told me about the 101 in 1001 list…it’s the 101 things you want to do in 1001 days.  So, I’m going to make a list.  Keep in mind, I am not a very good judge of time, and I am extremely optimistic.  So my list may be unrealistic, but here goes…at least the beginnings of a list:

  1. Back up the pictures that are on my hard drive.
  2. Re-model my bathroom
  3. Go to New York for Thanksgiving
  4. Get 4-6 flute students who actually live in Norman.
  5. Memorize Claire de Lune on the piano
  6. Save up enough money to by my next car in cash
  7. Read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy
  8. Get rid of 45 pounds, 20 by summer, 25 more over the summer!
  9. Plant bulb flowers for the spring
  10. Get to know Valorie and Loretta
  11. Read a book on Team Work
  12. Re-read The Leadership Challenge
  13. Get to the point where I can run and swim 30 minutes straight
  14. Get all of my Scripture Memory review up to date
  15. Help my mom fix up the room in her house that used to be my room
  16. Spend significant amounts of time with Rusty and El Bean
  17. File the stacks in my office
  18. Read the biography of Oswald Chambers
  19. Go through the boxes in my garage and throw out/consolidate
  20. Paint my laundry room
  21. Read about and complete the Couch-to-5K Running Plan
  22. Get more shelves for my garage
  23. Go to Cuba
  24. Try all 10 formulas in my new bread cookbook (0/10)
  25. Learn to cook more french cuisine
  26. Figure out how to use my fireplace
  27. Complete StrengthsFinder 2.0 Assesment and read the accompanying book
  28. Get my gutter fixed
  29. Plant and maintain an herb garden
  30. Make fresh pesto from my herb garden
  31. Drink NO soda from mid-January to Spring Break, re-evaluate need to continue this at Spring Break
  32. Get hair cut and keep hair cut to style (or at least some true style) for the next 1001 days…got it cut!!  Now working on keeping it styled!
  33. Give an appreciation gift once a quarter (5/11)
  34. Send a thank you gift card to eye doctor
  35. Find and go to a dentist 2 times a year (o/6)
  36. Plant vines and hang lights on pergola
  37. Call and catch up with alums of the ministry once every two months (4/17)
  38. Do 5 “touristy” things in Oklahoma City (1/5)
  39. Listen to one sermon on www.discipleshiplibrary.com per week (0/143)
  40. Save three months of salary in money market (0/3)
  41. Have a good conversation with Allison, Carolyn, Kristen, Kayla, Emily, Corly, and Jessica at least once a month (9/33)

There…I did it!  I completed making my 101 in 1001 List.  My start date is (was) January 12, 2009 and my finish date is October 20, 2011 ( I think…if I did the math right).  I am motivated.  I think this will be a TON of fun!  So…here I go!  Wish me luck!   Or pray for me, which would be a far more productive thing to do!  Thanks!
